About the Recipe
Chicken Sandwich lovers….If you are looking to step up your sandwich game, then this is a sandwich you need to put into your lineup.
Ingredients
2 French Baguette Rols (approx 12in in length)
PICKLED VEGETABLES
½ cup white wine vinegar
½ cup apple cider vinegar (you can substitue rice vinegar if you have it)
1 tablespoons sugar
1 cinnamon stick (broken into pieces)
¾ cup shredded carrots (2-3 carrots)
1 cup daikon cut into matchsticks (may sub radishes)
Mix the vinegar, sugar and cinnamon stick together in a bowl and whisk. Add vegetables and cover for at least 2 hours
GARLIC AIOLI SAUCE
¾ cup mayonnaise (or whipped dressing)
1 TBSPN lime juice
1 TBSPN soy sauce
1 TBSPN fish sauce
2 - 3 cloves minced garlic
Mix all ngredients together in a bowl and whisk (if possible, pour into a condiment squeeze bottle)
CHICKEN SAUSAGE
1 lb Lawton’s Chicken Sausage
Slice links in half longways.
Preparation
MAKE THE SANDWICH
Pre-heat grill or pan.
Grill the sausage on both sides until cooked. Remove from heat.
With a serrated knife, slice the baguette in half but not all the way through.
Pack cilantro in the bun.
Add the sausage (4 sausage link halves)
Layer the sandwiches with sliced meat, drained pickled vegetables
Drizzle the garlic-aoli sauce
